Position: Quality Technician - Fairport III

Position Details:

• 100% Onsite - Fairport, NY
• Hours of work/work schedule/flextime: 40+ hours, Monday – Friday. Standard business hours. 
• Support for production day shift as required. Occasional off-hours support possible, but isolated.
• 6-months contract

Scope:
In this role, you will be reporting directly to a Quality Supervisor. This position focuses on quality disposition of Advanced Optics parts and materials, product and material documentation review and release and liaison between the Plant and key stakeholders. We look for you to work closely with other functions within the organization (Engineering, Operations, and Procurement) and be responsible for driving an improved Customer experience with our products.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Ensures adequacy of product Quality and compliance to requirements
• Dispositions production events related to part and material non-conformances
• Monitors metrics consistent with job responsibilities
• Support Plant Safety programs to provide a safe working environment
• Achieve applicable department requirements for safety, quality and cost
• Ability to identify root-cause & how to improve issue at hand
• Drive simplification and continuous improvement
• Administrative work for production events in the system, ensuring that they are moving along and completing the production event process.

Required Education/Experience:

• Two year (Associates) + 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment OR
  High school diploma + 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment

Required Skills:

• Flexibility to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent cross functional communication skills
• Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Desired Skills:

• Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or technical function
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• Experience with procedure and work instruction interpretation

Soft Skills:

• Flexibility to work within a dynamic team and provide training to others
  Strong communication and presentation skills
  Ability to work effectively on all levels of an organization

Pay Transparency:

• This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $22.14/hour - $29.52/hour.
