Job Title: Human Resources Specialist (HR Communications)
Position Details:
- 100% onsite at Corning Location: 310 N College Rd.; Wilmington, NC 28405 (This is a Fiber Optical Plant which is a Union facility).
- Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST) with occasional 2-5 OT hours per week with reasonable notice).
- Interview Process: Three Interviews: 1st round: Phone interview with the direct manager; 2nd round: Panel interview onsite & 3rd round: Phone interview with Executive leader.
- Anticipated 9-months contract with potential to convert to full-time employment.
- Hire Justification: Organization growth.
- This is a junior level role.
Provide support to supervisor in planning, implementation, executing and administration most or all the following human resource functions: hourly employment, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and employee analytics. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
Duties:
- Support approximately 1000 employees (last year hired 100 headcount).
- Promote Employment Engagement activities and leadership events on time within budget.
- Hold training Events, classes.
- Promote a positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
- 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong data analytics experience.
- Must have exceptional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Power BI experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a Union facility is a plus.

Position Details: Pay Transparency:
- This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $32.14/hour - $42.86/hour W-2.
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met).
